is the second studio album from singer/songwriter Martina Topley-Bird, her first album in four years. Scheduled for release on May 12, 2008, , the album has been complete since at least September 2007. Since then, Topley-Bird has slowly revealed track titles and posted songs from the album on her official website and her MySpace page. The Blue God was produced by Danger Mouse, one half of the band Gnarls Barkley.
The album was preceded by its first single, "Carnies", on March 3, 2008."Poison", the second single, was released May 5, 2008. The single's B-side is a collaboration with Gorillaz titled "Soldier Boy". |
